Hello all, sorry I've not been on.  The new submissions are things that I've completed in the last few weeks.  I've been working on lots of things, but I've not come around to finishing any of them until recently.  I'm a full-time art student at a university now!  Oh yeah, it's great.  Except that I don't have any classes that are focused on actually making art.  So I've got to do all of it in my free time, and learn on my own or from sources on the internet.  As it is, Semester Finals are really stressing my out right now.  I think my math class will give me the hardest time.  Eventually, when I get a job, I'll renew my membership.  Until then, I'm not sure I have the money to spare.  It's good to be back on DA though

On a side note, it's amazing how little of my status options I need to change.  Weird.

'Ello there!  Sorry to everyone that I haven't been so active lately, semester finals coupled with my usual schedule sort of backed me up on a lot of things.  So, I haven't been drawing so much.

Here's my shortened rant about Christmas.  First, Jesus's birthday was in the summertime, not winter.  The Vatican moved it so that it overlapped many other holidays that the natives of Europe celebrated so that they could convert the masses easier.  Second, I do not care if people tell me to have a good Christmas, or a happy Hanukkah, etc.  It's the sentiment that counts.  Third, Christmas gets special rights in that no stores (some) are open on the holiday, but Hanukkah and Kwanzaa are not as recognized.  It's pretty annoying.

Even though I'm definitively not Christian, I still celebrate Christmas.  That's merely the word I use to identify the holiday where I spend time with my family and exchange presents on the 25th of December.  

In other news, holy crap.  Tomorrow's the 24th and I barely noticed.  My mother sure has though.  Whenever we're having company over she gets all stressed out and snaps at everyone that gets in her way.  She wants us to help her clean, but if we try to help her, she'll act as if we're not doing it right and figuratively throw us from the room.  And then she gets pissed when we don't help.  

On the upside, snow has completely transformed the outdoors.  White!  White everywhere!  It's really pretty, and even though clearing it off my roof and driveway is a pain, I really do like the stuff.  So, even though things a tense right now, it's still not so bad.
